Andhra Pradesh Governor Narayan Dutt Tiwari resigned on Saturday, citing ‘health grounds.’The resignation by the octogenarian leader, a freedom fighter who served a jail term during 1942-44, came a day after ABN, a Telugu news channel, showed explicit visuals which, it claimed, were those of Mr. Tiwari with three women at the Raj Bhavan.Mr Tiwari is likely to face criminal cases in connection with the allegation. Mr Tiwari’s aides had alleged that she was also behind the sex scandal exposed by the television channel. On Friday, Tiwari became center of controversy after ABN Andhra Jyothi channel broadcast some footage showing him in compromising positions with women.
