Sudeep is an actor in Kannada cinema industry. He is from Shimoga, Karnataka.
He hails from a hotelier family. His father is Sanjeev, who is also a hotelier turned producer. He is a mechanical engineer by profession. He has named his daughter as “Saanvi”
His first movie was Thayava and then he played a supportive role in the movie Prathyartha directed by Sunil Kumar Desai.
He then acted in a movie called Sparsha which was also directed by Sunil Kumar Desai and it is the first movie of Sudeep where he is seen in a lead role.
In 2003, Sudeep acted in a hit film Huccha which gave him a very big fan following.
He acted in one of the critically acclaimed tragedy film “Huccha” which proved his acting capabilities.
He has got Filmfare Award twice consecutive years. Recently he made his debut in Bollywood with movie Phoonk.
He is one of the popular actors in Kannada film industry.
The year 2008 has been Sudeep’s best year so far. Three out of his four Kannada releases brought in the big bucks for the producers
